The Board of Directors has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Sebastian Ianora for his senior year of studies at the University of Idaho. Sebastian is majoring in Fire Ecology and Management with a minor in Forest Resources. Sebastian was raised in Marin County, California where he was a 4H member, an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed fishing with his father. He is an academic tutor at U of I and has spent his last two summers, and this upcoming summer, on a wildland engine crew with the Idaho Department of Lands. We wish Sebastian well in his studies and in achieving his career goals.
If members are aware of college students with majors related to outdoor activities, please make them aware of this opportunity for next year. RRGC will make a scholarship award(s) next spring with the notice being made in January 2019.
